Update Your HighSchooler's Used iPod

It's become the current icon of college campuses everywhere: students in hoodies bearing the school's name, a loose hanging back-pack, and their used iPod earbuds danglinglike earings.

But if they're still rocking an older generation iPod, (which has it's own benefits), it may be time to hand down that used iPod and update to a touch screen iPod.

Apple plans to give away college textbooks in their e-stores, a chance not only to save some pennies on your kid's education, but to enhance it with what will likely be well enhanced versions of their subjects.

And of course, following the current trend, you better get used iPod touches for Grandma and Grandpa too—it turns out that given the opportunity, non-college goers love to learn new things, too. And what better way than a hand-held device like (a more affordable used) iPod? Or iPad, of course. The devices are perfect for older relatives that frown on technology.

Of course, refurbished iPods, iPhones, and iPads are a necessity for every college student when the classrooms are full of electronic devices bearing the Apple logo, and when tuition prices are skyrocketing. More places are offering to buy and sell used iPods and iPhones, but the cheapest place (with the best payout for your old phones) is still online.
