Apple: Keeping You Virus Free
If you've used iPods to make a purchase (say, for an awesome game), you've probably stored your credit card information on it. Same goes for your iPhone, which also gives theives and hackers access to your phone plan.
Fortunately, if you're an Apple lover, those devices are much safer than an Android phone.
A new report shows that Apple has had no attacks against it (sucessful ones, at least) in the last quarter. Although other OSs like Palm have similar claims, Apple is one of the most used OSs so it is a much more sucessful statement to say that there have been no attacks or sucessful malware launches.
Of course, the trade off for this is that the apps are censored, the software locked up tight from non-Apple developers. But why spoil a good thing? Google/Android's vulnerability comes from 3rd party app stores, and the malware isn't likely to be discovered until it's already being sold. Android users are now 2.5 times mroe likely to contract a virus than just a few months ago! They should have used iPods and iPhones!
If you want in on the protection the iOS offers, check out used & refurbished iPods and iPhones. Used iPods are good as new and a great way to save money.
What are your favorite Apple apps?
