Are You Part Of The Used Cell Phone Cycle?
Used cell phones aren't just a great way to save money, they're probably clogging up some corner of your closet right now! So here's what you should do:
Step 1- Get rid of your old used cell phones!
- Recycle your old used cell phones. Copper is becoming a rare commodity as it's in all electronics, as can be several rare earth metals, that, as the name suggests, are rare! So be to recycle any old used cell phones you have lying around. It will help keep dangerous e-waste out of landfills, too!
- Donate old used cell phones to the troops, a battered women's shelter, or your favorite cause. Used cell phones, even without a plan, can be made to make emergency calls. Pay-As-You-Go is also a great option for the less fortunate!
- Trade/Sell used cell phones. Some retailers offer a pitance in exchange for your old used cell phones, of course, if they're really old the retailer may not offer money or may just through them away! Although an option, it's not the best way to dispose of your old used cell phones!
Step 2- Treat yourself to a new phone!
You can spend a load (or sign your life away to a contract) with a brand new cell phone, or you can complete the cycle and get a new-to-you used cell phone! Used cell phones work great, and offer a way to avoid contracts, save money, and keep the environmentalism going!
