Chat Easy With Refurbished iPods
Looking for a cheap, convenient way to video chat? More and more apps are being made for video chatting, and yes, there's still room for improvement. But if you want to get in on the latest trend, chat with friends overseas, or just make an awesome video blog, here's the (cheap) steps to do it:
1) Buy a refurbished iPod. It's cheaper than a new one. Refurbished iPods are designed to work like new, so they're a great deal. (Make sure the person you want to chat with also has an iPod, iPad, or Apple OS, although some chat clients work between any OS).
2) Find a good wifi connection for your refurbished iPods, or to save money with your iPhone.
3) Make sure you look nice! Come your hair, check your teeth, and smile pretty! Some video chat apps start immediately.
4) Use facetime, or download a different chat app to your refurbished iPod (facetime requires wifi). On your iPhone, using a chat client is like making a phone call, but it may be cheaper to conduct it over wifi than to use your data (especially on AT&T or Verizon, who charge sooo much for just 2G!) On iPods, it's an app that starts instantly, activating your camera.
If you don't want to use apps like facetime or skype, there's also Google +, where you can start a video chat hang out with your friends. While iPads are a great way to get a clear image, refurbished iPods are great for taking with you (and many places have free wifi, from public transit to your local coffee shop!).
