Used Cell Phones May Be Changing

The Blackberry Curve, a great last stand, and a great used cell phone!

Cell phones have been evolving since their creation, and in recent years the trend has evolved from smartphones to phones that do more than connect to the internet—the provide hit, high-quality games, they're mp3 players, they're stylish, they're infintely customizable…

But Blackberries, the stable, beloved phone of the used cell phones market, may go under. RIM, the maker of Blackberry cell phones, projected low earings, and then undershot them. Now, speculation says they may go under.

This will likely lead to a competitor buying the Blackberry line of phones, and treating them as cheaper, low end phones like Nokias.

Unfortunately, Blackberries were great used cell phones. They had long lives, great internet features, and a decent app store to support themselves. But Blackberry failed to evolve into flashy, must-have devices. Tomorrow's used cell phones will not have the same life span, the same continued functionality, or the same endurance. Most new phones will easily break with one good drop (which is why replacing them with used cell phones is smart and economical!).

However used cell phones go, it will be sad to see Blackberry, once the smartphone leader, go.

Used cell phones will consist of the cast-offs of trend seekers, those chaning companies (who were't smart enough to buy unlocked cell phones), and used cell phones will probably come to be only one generation behind…whereas Blackberry used cell phones lasted for years!
