4 Steps To Follow When Buying Used Cell Phones

Buying a cell phone can be a difficult decision, there are many brands, people with very strong opinions about cell phone OSs, and all sorts of technological gimicks that compete for your attention. When choosing among used cell phones, the choices are amplified by past generations (which are sometimes better), and the freedom to match the phone to any carrier.

So here are 4 things to ask yourself when buying used cell phones:

1) Does Brand Matter?

There are people who know what they want when looking at used cell phones. Many of those people want iPhones. If you want an iPhone, because used cell phones are cheaper or because they sell out so quickly, then you really don't need to go through the other questions.

If brand matters, but you aren't stuck on an iPhone, there are a few notable contenders: Android, from Google, and Blackberry. Both have their own extensive catalogue of apps. Blackberry makes great phones, while Android is a platform, and so the phone itself can very quite a bit (better if you want functionality plus a very specific phone model type).

2) What Functions MUST It Have?

Excellent Calling? Streamlined email? Integrated chat clients? A customisable web browser? There are used cell phones that fit each of these description, and many used cell phones that fill most of these requirements.

So consider how you think you'll use your used cell phone. If you're going to take pictures, for instance, you want a phone with a high mp, which stands for megapixels, or resolution. Read the product description, and compare your favorite used cell phones.

3) How Long Will You Use It For, And How Often?

If you aren't interested in used cell phones that have tons of applications, and you won't be using it constantly, you might consider simpler phones, like the ones that Nokia makes. Nokia is known for making simple, hardy phones that are easy to use.

If you will use your phone a lot, and will probably upgrade it quickly to a newer used cell phone model, then look for phones that are a great deal. You can save a lot of money on less popular used cell phones that have the same great features as Apple and Blackberry.

4) Will You Need Accessories?

It's a good idea to buy a back up phone charger (for the office, or for travelling), and a charger for your car (especially if you'll listen to music or use GPS in your car).

Finally, buy from a place with a warranty, like CellularTrendz.com
